Background
Her entire life, Alice felt a pull toward the arcane, making it only natural that she gravitated toward a life looking into the supernatural and otherworldly. Eight months after graduating high school, she quit her job as a waitress at a diner, purchased an RV, and set off to leave everything behind to live the life of a traveling paranormal investigator. There doesn't seem to be any particular type of case she'll turn down— meaning Alice investigates anything from the odd cup moving on its own, to an entire city plagued by...well, anything, really, as long as it checks the box of "supernatural."

Will Alice take my case?
Of course! Whatever it is, be it menial or large scale, she'll take on the task so long as she gets compensated for her work. So if you would like to bring her into an SL, then by all means!

Personality
Generally, Alice is very upbeat and chipper. One might see her as a goofball, or even a little rowdy. She's very passionate about her work, and even more so about her interests. Though this isn't to say that she doesn't take what she does seriously. On the contrary, her knowledge of what she involves herself in, the arcane, its intricacies, and martial training runs deep, and as a result she holds a high respect for life, history, and the supernatural. She's a "means business" girl, but that won't stop her from finding a way to enjoy herself a little. Some could even consider her a carefree spirit.

Abilities

Alice is a bit of a jack of all trades in the regard that she is capable both as a mage and fighter. On one end of this spectrum, she specializes in Shadow magic, but also dabbles with other mediums such as elemental, transmutation, and truename magic, while on the other end, she's incredibly skilled with a sword, having undergone and completed training under the Iron Heart discipline.

TitleEffect
Conjure ChainsAlice creates a link of chains often making them stem from her own chain tattoos on her arms. The farthest they can go is fourty feet.
Umbral SightA passive "mystery" from the pages of Shadow Magic. Alice seems only to have its "bare basic" form, and thus only has a dark vision of thirty feet.
MettleA feat most commonly found among Witch Slayers, Alice has the potential to "shrug off" magical effects that could otherwise harm her. Succession, however, is not certain, as the ability is dependent on the strength of her will.
Locate Possession Alice's senses are attuned enough to discern the presence of possessing forces within sixty feet. Further concentration allows her to pinpoint its location.
Momentary DisjunctionAn ability that serves the sole purpose of temporarily disabling any and all spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities of any kind of a single creature within thirty feet.
Carpet of ShadowA simple "mystery" of Shadow Magic, its use transforms nearby ground into shadow, impeding movement.
Bend PerspectiveUse involves changing the caster's point of view, as if they were standing elsewhere.
Shadow SkinWhen cast, this "mysyery" allows Alice to physically thicken her skin.
Umbral BodyAn oddity of a "mystery" that allows Alice to transform into a shadow entity— incorporeal and all.
Allied FootstepsA more conventional spell that allows whoever it's casted on to know the direction and distance to Alice's location for an entire day.
Incendiary SlimeCreates a slippery, flammable substance to be applied to any surface.
Incendiary SurgeUnleashes a cone of flames that span thirty-five feet.
Umbral HandA hand made from and conjured by shadow, controlled by the thoughts of the caster. It can lift heavy objects, and go upward if 25 ft. from the caster.
Telepathic BondA spell that, once cast, creates a telepathic bond not limited by distance, allowing two individuals to communicate so long as they are on the same plane of existence.

The Iron Heart discipline focuses on pure weapon skill. Its students learn to complete fighting maneuvers that border on the supernatural. Its key skill is balance, because body control, good footing, and impeccable timing are important to completing Iron Heart maneuvers.
